Soybeans Health benefits
Soybeans are a legume native to eastern Asia. They can be eaten whole or processed into products such as soy flour, soy protein, tofu, soy milk, soy sauce, soy fortified pasta, breakfast cereals and bars, some beverages, and soybean oil.
Soybeans are rich in various minerals and beneficial plant compounds with regular soybean intake said to alleviate the symptoms of menopause and reduce the risk of prostate & breast cancer. Soybeans are also:

- Cholesterol free
- Lactose free
- A good source of omega 3 fatty acids
- A source of antioxidants

So, you may ask, how do you eat soybeans? Well, the Green soybeans when young are also called edamame. People can steam them and eat them out of the pod as an appetizer.
Shelled edamame is also available in salads, stir-fries, and soups.
For yellow soybeans, they are typically used to make soy milk, tofu, tempeh, and tamari.
